HISTORY
Background of Hasan Mhaslai

Hasan Mhaslai's father was working for Bhaba Atomic Research Center in Trombay Mumbai. Due to his interest towards agriculture he decided to buy 8 acres of land in kolad for farming in 1981.

His father left the job at BARC and shifted to Kolad in June 1982 when Mr Hasan was only 9 years old. He started going to J M Rathi English School(JMRES) which was around 15 KM from their place as it was only reputed school in the locality . He completed his SSC in 1992 and he took admission in the local science college. During his school tenure he represented his school and college at Taluka, district and state level for science exhibition several times. Due to some financial crisis he didn't complete his studies and joined his father's business where he worked along with his brother for many years. This was the time when hunting and fishing were his hobbies but as per government's restriction hunting had to stop but he continued with fishing, he has gone to different places for the same and later converted this hobby to business in 2006. Initially he was handling his FMCG business and aquaculture business for 4 years but it became hectic and he diverted full time to aquaculture business.

He has been awarded with many awards at state and national level for his work. He has been appointed as member of scientific advisory Committee for Balasaheb Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth and also member of board of studies for post harvest management college Killa. He is also the chairman of kundalika macchimaar society. In spite of not having adequate academic qualification, he gained good knowledge in aquaculture by his practical work. Different colleges, private training center, government department and societies call him as a resource person. He is also involved in many social activities to uplift the farmers. He is also director of Roha shetkari pratishtan which works for Upliftment of the farmers.
